ASUS X75VC Driver Download, and Reviews– It’s a shame because the X75VC is very comfortable to use and write. We were a little concerned about the amount of Flex in the keyboard, but they did not affect our writing and all the buttons have a lot of travel and touch. They are so well positioned as a chiclet-style keyboard, but once we had gotten used to their position, we were typing at full speed in minutes. The rounded edges of the keyboard tray do not dig in our wrists either and there is not enough space on the right-hand side of the numeric keypad. The large touchpad in one also answered the Multi-Touch gestures and the Windows 8 shortcuts worked perfectly.

Large 17.3-inch laptops are often home games with expensive components, but the Asus X75VC is a general purpose that the laptop will not break the bank. At £ 600, this is one of the cheapest 17.3in laptops we’ve seen and the X75VC did not have to compromise the power to get there either.

The Intel Core i5-3230M dual-core 2.6GHz laptop processor is naturally much slower than found in a typical quad-core gaming laptop, but can grow to 3.2 GHz when there is sufficient thermal space to significantly increase the speed. It gives a lot of speed on a daily basis and paired with 8 GB of RAM, the X75VC scored 54th in the overall rating of our multimedia reference points. It surpasses almost all the Core i7 Ultrabook we have tested this year, so you should be able to cope with more demanding tasks that require image and video editing so without much hassle.

The X75VC has a dedicated graphics processor to play. Its Nvidia GeForce GT 2GB 720m will not blow anyone at its speed but managed a serious 31.1fps in our high-quality Dirt Showdown test at 1280×720 resolution. This is a good result midrange laptop but will have to adjust the settings if you want to approach the ideal 60 fps. We had to fix the low quality before we saw 59.8fps frames at a720p, but we had to turn off the smoothing before we produced 54.6fps in the native resolution of 1.600×900 Low.

As expected, heavy games such as Crysis 2 are beyond the boundaries of the X75VC, but you still need to be able to play the latest 3D games in good speed, as long as you are not too concerned about having the best graphics,

The large 17.3-inch screen certainly provides plenty of room for multiple windows on the screen, but the overall picture quality leaves much to be desired. We showed that the color calibrator showed 69.4 percent of the sRGB color range, which is average on a notebook screen, but its high yellow concentration meant that the screen looked a bit washed out sometimes. His blue and violet cover was particularly lacking, which had a knock on our image. Green looked good, but blues and reds were not deep at all and everyone lost some degree of vitality.

This is partly due to the matte screen, but our solids have shown that the bottom of the screen is also much brighter than the top, which further weakens the color saturation, making it poor to display the screenshots. Black levels were very high too. Ideally, the black levels should be as close to zero as possible, but the X75VC had a black reading level of 0.98cd / m2, so the black looked pretty gray.

The contrast level of the X75VC was not very good. We recorded a contrast ratio of only 260: 1, which is below average, even on a notebook screen, but some of our test images were better than others. The dark shadow details of our night scenes were almost non-existent, but the lighter shadows with fewer shadows showed more detail than we expected. I would not recommend for small photo editing but it is perfect for web browsing and writing office documents.
